This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the NAPALSA website, as well as through information given to NAPALSA through other means. In addition, a voluntary profile can be completed which includes the following types of information:

  • Education

  • Your school-related APALSA chapter information

  • Your school-related APALSA member information

  • Area(s) of interest of said members

  • Postings by members, including communication between members, job postings, and networking events 

 

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself and your APALSA chapter provide your members with NAPALSA membership services, including newsletters, monthly updates, other e-mail announcements, and communication with other NAPALSA chapters. The majority of the information is viewable only by the NAPALSA website administrator(s) and, for posts in the Membership area, other NAPALSA chapters.  Information gathered, such as email addresses, are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

 

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we, along with our website host Wix, have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You can access your member profile at the NAPABA website by using your assigned username and password. While logged in, you may review or modify all parts of your member profile data. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a written request that specifies updates or removal of profile data.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
