Jasleen Shokar (She/Her/Hers), 2L at St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX

Jasleen Shokar is a 2L at St. Mary's University School of Law. She has spent almost all of her 220 pro bono hours accumulated in law school working with migrant asylum seekers with Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center. She is the current president of her school's chapter of APALSA, and is a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Race and Social Justice. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.J. (Bachelor's in Journalism) and B.A. in Plan II Honors prior to entering law school. She is interested in pursuing a career in public interest and working for the government.
